D.I.Y. Acid Washed Denim

Once upon a lazy afternoon, there was once a boring and ugly pair of jeans that needed much help. For the denim to be worn, the crazy owner made a crazy decision to buy some bleach and try to ruin the *ugh*.. in the poor denim.

What you need to do

  1. Wet it: Take your garment and get it wet through in the bath or sink, then ring some of the water out.
  2. Bleach it: Take your bleach and pour it in water. then soak the denim.
  3. Leave it: Leave to soak in but keep checking the colour every minute or so until you are happy with it.
  4. Rinse it: When happy with the colour, rinse off the bleach and then throw your garment in the washing machine for a cycle.
Remove. Dry. Done! Happy Ending ;)

I could say mostly when i do a shoot it would be not planned and unexpected. I woke up and grabbed my camera, fixed my bed and rearranged the things in my room. Since, until now i don't have a tripod (and every waking hour of my life it as been a misery not to have one.) such as because i'm really a cheapskate hahaha. I remembered hoisting up a tall chair just so i could improvise a tripod. The denim vest is a D.I.Y. of mine i scratched and cropped this darn pretty little thing and oh this one is a thrift goodie. Dress was from an unknown boutique with cute little flowers with a very flowy feel and look. and a Converse

Misadventures for a Perfect Chucks

Once a upon a time there was a poor little girl looking for the perfect Chucks. She was poor and all she had was her allowance. She was in College so she had sooo little money for buying her whims. so she wished and waited to have work and dough to buy things. Since her dad didn't give her extra allowance, she was stuck to a dirty ol' dreadful sneakers. ALAS, after some years of waiting she graduated and got a job.

The poor ol' girl bought anything she wanted except for the elusive shoes. "It is too EXPENSIVE" she said. Well, she is a Cheapskate sooo...she searched. Then, the GREAT BIG SALE came in she was all excited and frantic. She said, "I'm soooooo Going!!!", out of luck she had work. Sadly, after the big sale prices went up every pair was a new batch but still it was sad. She had an idea of what kind she wanted "the MINT BLUE ONE" she would always ask the salesperson. "there's none ma'am.".... sad sad sad... She searched the vast ocean of Google. She found one "Mint Blue! and it's $60.00 Whaaat???"...but she did not stop there... she bought a pair of "optic white" for more or less $20.00 but it was FAKE!. She almost fainted, bought it online out of desperation. at first she wanted to give it away, then after some time she thought "I bought it with my money why not work it out." So she thought, "why not make it MINT BLUE?" she had some ideas to draw or paint on it and put on some studs, she searched some design in the internet. A light of hope came in when the local mall in her town had a sale!...She was like "OMG! OMG! this is my time!" It was navy blue. Since, panic was in her blood at the time she hadn't noticed she was in the men's department. she bought an original pair it was not mint blue but still it would do but, it was too big. but still she said "it would do." "it was uncomfortably big" she complained.

She went back and asked if she could still avail of the same price and the perfect size for her. She got the Cream one. Tragically, the policy forbade...the sale ended...she had to add more. She was really frustrated at the same time elated that after all the misadventure she had...It was like a chocolate, She finally got a pair!

Also the poor little girl TOTALLY wanted to take vengeance to the salesman. Soo BAD!

                                                                                                                                               ~fin~

Queenbees and Wannabes

Yesterday i came across a blog about lookbook.nu. The blogger was revealing what the lookbook was like and how it works. quoted as
"In short, it has become evident that Lookbook.nu is not as it appears at all, essentially they are merely luring you in with the ostensible service of offering a platform for you and your style works to be viewed and recognized by masses of your peers who share an enthusiasm for fashion. In reality it’s merely a scheme to draw in a greater number of official registrants, if you upload your photographs to their website, in fact they WILL NOT BE SEEN." And loads of other points about how lookbook.nu is all about losers and the Queen Bees or the popular bloggers. hahahaha...
Well as for me the blogger definitely has some point. She had some links to forums on how you could win people's hypes' and everything that you have to do this and do that. And for you to get a colossal hypes and karmas' you have to get a huge fan base from other social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and this one and a whole lot more. See my point here is.. I think that Lookbook was created so that normal people and bloggers could express their Art and Fashion to the world. Now, it's becoming like highschool all over again. I'm telling you i've seen comments that's a bit bitter well no one could blame them oh well. The blogger also said on her blog
"Not mentioned in their FAQ, but buried deep within "logs" dated back to August, 2010 (I discovered this after waiting over a week for a reply to my inquiry, by the way) uploading your photos merely starts a long chain of necessary activity that requires extensive time, effort, and "networking" for your submissions to be visible on the massive level they prominently, intentionally, and disingenuously suggest. Their "sign-up" page entices you to "Post a look! Don’t Be Shy!" and invite all your friends, and post it on your Facebook and link it to your Twitter and put widgets on your blogspots and websites and Tumblrs and give them access to your entire e-mail list, but they completely neglect to inform you that this is pretty much the only way your photographs will be visible to anyone but a "small segment of the [Lookbook] community" if, with any luck, at least one of those people is already a Lookbook.nu member."
See now you have to actually take a lot of time and huge amount of funds to have a good lookbook even though some people is just wearing a white tee and jeans a lot will hype or blindhypers for me hahaha coz' they have a hug fanbase. Also, i saw a comment saying that you have to be skinny, pretty and have a good photographer that will follow you through the woods. i LMAO in that comment. Also stumbled upon a comment that lookbook was not created to have a popularity contest.

Well, cliche' that is SOCIETY. and for you to be a part of it you have to follow the SOCIAL NORMS. I read the definition of the NORMS as being  not considered to be formal laws within society, they still work to promote a great deal of SOCIAL CONTROL. Meaning you will banished/social outcast if you don't follow... yeah i know i know there are some who breaks those rules but for me i still think that some of thos people are becoming mainstream they are actually being a part of the cliche'. It's kinda sad that society is like a big beauty contest everyday. It's sucky to be criticized everyday. So for me? i still like lookbook but not how it is like. I'll post my photos coz' it's my fashion and my art. I'll just close my eyes to all those hype buttons hahahah hey i'm still HUMAN.

Everyday I pass by this tree  but never came into to me to take a picture of it even if it was a real beauty. Maybe because I was too shy to put my camera phone up and click the button…because I know people will stare and make a commotion of it. So finally I did.
I’ve always had a dream when I was a kid to play around a tall tree…frolic around the meadows..I’ve always wanted that…I grew up as a city kid. Around the bustling lights and honks of Manila. I got this idea from watching too much cartoons/anime where skies has a vivid blue…spacious place to play around. Well of course japan is a bigger country and has a lot of provinces and tons of animators…well let me go back on the tree. Ain’t it pretty? I’ve always wanted that moment where I could lay under a tree,on a bed of grass and look at the hue of the blue skies. I’ve dreamt of being quite and calm like laying on a cloud. just being a child. Not a care in the world.get away from everything and have simple things in life and tresure the things that I already have. I always have a bliss when I pass under that tree. Like getting a blissful high.

What a beauty eh? ... i bought this by accident from the thrift store. I was with grandma when i bought this i just accompanied her in buying fruits in the market. I've been broke but still i was gutsy enough to splurge. On my hand, was the money to pay for the bills my mom asked me to do.

In exchange for my efforts was in an evil pursuit of adding, jamming and cramming into my already full closet. My Mom was furious when i spent the cash she asked, "Is that included in our bills? huh?" so yeah she's pretty much upset. I could not control myself, especially to things that makes me happy. Well i just want you guys to know that when i am in a  mall, thrift shop, or any boutiques and dress shops...expect that it's gonna be a hunting season for me. I'm always on the hunt for the current fad or something that cannot be found anywhere else and definitely unique, Something with a quirk, Addition to the challenge is, It has to be within my budget...which means super CHEAP!!!.

I always shop in the thrift shop and Tiangge stores so you could really guess i'm a cheapskate. I believe that fashion is how you wear it, Never about the PRICE TAG. I'm really hoping that in time i'll have more pretty finds. This one is a Levi's for a very sweet price tag.

I’m flying off to Neverland…

I wanted to do Levitation Photography. I wanted to mimic what Natsumi Hayashi does best. Hoping to do more of this. I will try my best to go to good locations. This has too much editing but it’s because of my background and poor lighting also because of the weather. I really do hope to be better at this soo im’ma practice. This is my first levitation courtesy of my brother i sure do hope i will fly to somewhere else :)
